Around the Mountains Cycle Trail
Queenstown locals, tourists and tourism businesses alike have the Around the Mountains Cycle Trail to look forward to.
The new cycle trail is part of the Government sponsored New Zealand Cycle Trail and will give cyclists access to 175 kilometres worth of cycling trail across Lake Wakatipu through Walter Peal, Mount Nocholas Stations, and along the Von Valley, Lake Mavora. Cyclists will being their journey with a trip on the historic TSS Earnslaw steam shop across the lake to Walter Peak Station.
The ride is due to open on November 1, 2011.
