Hippo Lodge Backpackers

Hippo Lodge overlooks town, which makes it close enough to walk but far enough away to be extremely quiet.

We're not a big group hostel so no all night partying.

We've taken away the TV's so you'll be able to have uninterrupted conversations with your new friends.

We organise tours and activities in the relaxing environment that is Hippo Lodge.

No stress choosing which shop to purchase from it's all done at reception with our friendly no pressure staff.

Got washing to do or a few emails to send? You'll find it cheaper here than going into to town.

If you're hungry, cook up a meal, get a couple of guests, and share the cooking. Its a great way to meet new people! Or light up the barbeque for an outside meal, summer or winter!

When the day is done and you're ready to tuck up into bed, slip between the already made up sheets and duvet on inner-sprung mattresses.

When you've stayed at Hippo you won't want to leave so book for longer.
