Remarkables Park Launch New Website

Queenstown’s major developer has launched a new website to cater for increasing levels of interest in its hugely successful Remarkables Park development.

Porter Group’s subsidiary Remarkables Park Limited is developing the extensive 150 ha Remarkables Park Zone. The land is at the geographical centre of the expanding Queenstown urban and resort area, and is home to its second major town centre.

The new website, www.remarkablespark.com, is designed to provide extensive information about Remarkables Park, including masterplan concepts and details relating to its urban design, architecture and landscape plans.

Remarkables Park's property portfolio, also listed on the website, outlines details of mixed use development including retail, residential, educational, visitor accommodation and recreational facilities.

Remarkables Park Special Projects Coordinator Olivia Porter said immediate response to the website had been excellent, and clearly showed there was strong interest in a financially sound, well designed development in Queenstown, notwithstanding the global economic meltdown.

“The website went quietly ‘live’ a couple of weeks ago because we thought we would give it time to ‘bed in’ before we made any official announcement,” she said.

“But almost immediately we had people visiting the site who obviously knew what they were looking for, many going straight to the masterplans page and the retail and leasing areas, with others looking at future residential developments. We’re pleasantly surprised at how many enquiries it has already generated.

“Those enquiries are extremely positive for the town and show just how far wide of the mark out-of-town commentators have been about the speed of Queenstown’s property recovery, at least in established proven locations.”

Olivia Porter said the website aimed to be clear, concise and informative about the development of Remarkables Park.

Remarkables Park Limited company director Alastair Porter said the company was “very fortunate” to own one of Queenstown’s prime locations.

“We have excellent winter sunshine and all-year-round magnificent views of Queenstown’s iconic mountains and rivers,” he said.

“Our original master planner Eldon Beck, who retired some years ago, had a distinguished career as a practitioner and educator in urban design, landscape architecture and planning. Eldon created places that were different and memorable.
