Three self-catering apartments in an 1874 stone house at 47 Hallenstein Street, two minutes' walk above central Queenstown, with an outdoor spa pool.
Built in 1874 for the then mayor of Queenstown and listed with New Zealand Historic Places, the Historic Stone House now operates as three self-catering boutique apartments at 47 Hallenstein Street, a couple of minutes' walk above the town centre.
The apartments range from one to three bedrooms, so the place works for a couple as well as a family or a group travelling together. Each has its own kitchen and living space, and guests share an outdoor heated spa pool in the garden — a good spot after a day on the hill. Free parking is available on site and WiFi is free throughout.
It's no longer the hosted bed and breakfast it once was: stays are self-catered, booked through the usual accommodation sites.
