Cross Lake Wakatipu on the TSS Earnslaw to Walter Peak farm - sheepdog and shearing displays, barbecue lunches and horse treks. From $139.

The only way to reach Walter Peak High Country Farm is across the water, and the crossing is half the point. The 1912 steamship TSS Earnslaw leaves Steamer Wharf and runs down the lake to the farm's own jetty.
