The only way to reach Walter Peak High Country Farm is across the water, and the crossing is half the point. The 1912 steamship TSS Earnslaw leaves Steamer Wharf and runs down the lake to the farm's own jetty.
RealNZ (formerly Real Journeys) runs four excursions, each about three hours forty-five minutes door to door including the cruise both ways.
