Ferg's Bar is a sit-down option on Shotover Street, with separate breakfast and bar menus. In the morning, order the Eggs Benedict ($26.90). Later in the day the menu moves to cocktails, share plates and seasonal oysters, which are $42 for a half-dozen.
For something more substantial, the menu highlights include a Southland beef burger, saffron seafood chowder and wild red deer tartare. The Ferg's Bar Burger is $32.50.
Seasonal items change, so the oysters and some other dishes may not always be available. Prices are from the current menu. It is open every day from 7am to 1am.
