The Mezz is Cardrona's sit-down restaurant, upstairs from Base Café in the main base building. It opens from 7.30am and runs through breakfast, lunch and après, with dinner on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday evenings.
The kitchen works with local ingredients and the bar carries New Zealand wine, craft beer and spirits. Dinner is the service to plan around — it is only three nights a week, and the Cardrona Valley road is a long climb to make on spec, so book before you drive up and check the road conditions in winter.
Cardrona and Treble Cone are now run as one resort under shared branding, and the on-mountain cafés and restaurants, The Mezz among them, are listed together on the resort site.
