Alpine ski area across the valley from Queenstown, with seven terrain parks.
The Remarkables sits high across the valley from Queenstown, 28km and about 40 minutes away up an access road that climbs steadily off the highway. It is the more alpine of the two Queenstown fields: 385 hectares of bowls, chutes and terrain parks, with 468 metres of vertical.
The longest run is Outward Bound at 2.5km, an off-piste, in-bounds line for confident skiers and riders. At the other end of the scale the beginners' area sits right in front of the base building, and runs like Alta Green make the step up to intermediate an easy one. The Curvey Basin six-seater opens up kilometres of intermediate and advanced terrain, and the ice bar up there is worth a stop for the view alone.
Seven terrain parks cover everything from first boxes through to large jump lines, including the Burton Stash.

Day hours are 9am to 4pm. There is no night skiing here — that is Coronet Peak's trick.
