Craft beer from the Cargo Brew Hall at Arthurs Point, behind the historic Gantley's building. Open 1pm to 7pm, closed Mondays.

Cargo Brewery started out in the old gold-era church at Waitiri Creek in Gibbston, and has since shifted its home to Arthurs Point. The Cargo Brew Hall now sits at 172 Arthurs Point Road, behind Gantley's — the 1863 gold-rush inn a few minutes' drive from central Queenstown, near the bottom of the Coronet Peak road.

Founded by Malcolm and Meron Blakey, who began brewing in an Arrowtown garage, Cargo pours its range fresh at the Brew Hall taproom. The hall holds up to 200 and doubles as a function space, with brewery experiences and workshops running alongside the regular pours.

Open 1pm to 7pm, closed Mondays. Easy to pair with a beer at Gantley's Tavern next door or a look at the Shotover River on the way back into town.
