Fat Badgers started with two Queenstown brothers who had worked in American pizzerias and came home wanting to make proper hand-rolled, New York-style pizza — first out the back of a bar, then a bigger kitchen as word spread, and now a full pizza bar at 33 Camp Street.
The headline act is the 20-inch thin-crust giant: dough made fresh daily, tossed by hand, spread with the family tomato sauce recipe and topped with fresh New Zealand ingredients. Smaller pizzas, sides and sharing plates fill out the menu, along with the Badger Bowls. Bring a group — one of the big ones is genuinely a table-wide undertaking.
Open daily from midday until 11pm (11.30pm Friday and Saturday), with dine-in bookings, collection, and delivery through Uber Eats. A lunch deal and happy hour run through the week.
