Fresca Pasta Kitchen opened at Queenstown Central Shopping Centre in Frankton in August 2026, a fast-casual spot doing fresh pasta made in-house daily. It's a family-run business that started from what the owners call "a humble love for honest, simple food", using local and imported ingredients for the sauces and toppings. Order at the counter, then eat in or take away.
Pasta comes as tagliatelle, mafalda or fusilli (potato gnocchi or gluten-friendly pasta for a little extra), tossed through beef & lamb ragu, burnt butter lemon & sage, pesto, carbonara or pomodoro. There's also Margherita and prosciutto & rocket focaccia pizzas, filled focaccia sandwiches, a rocket and pecorino salad, polenta fries, crispy fried truffle gnocchi, and empanadas. For dessert there's cinnamon and sugar fried gnocchi with a chocolate or caramel dip, or an affogato. Coffee, kombucha and soft drinks round out the menu.
Fresca also has a store in Wānaka, on Helwick Street.
