The Millhouse is the restaurant at Millbrook Resort, out on Malaghans Road between Arrowtown and Queenstown, looking over the Mill Pond and the old water wheel.
The dining room has a country-cottage feel - exposed stone, timber columns and an open fire that earns its keep from June through September. In summer the tables with the pond view are the ones to ask for.
The kitchen leans European and draws on Millbrook's own kitchen garden for a good part of the menu. Set menus are available for groups of eight or more; ask when you book. The wine list runs wide, with international bottles alongside New Zealand and Australian producers.
The Millhouse is temporarily closed following flood damage, as confirmed on Millbrook's own site in September 2026. Check with the resort before planning a meal there.
