Brazz sits at 1 Athol Street overlooking the village green, and steak is the point of it. The beef is 100% New Zealand grass-fed, sourced from the South Island and aged for up to 21 days, then chargrilled — fillet, ribeye, sirloin, rump, or a 500g ribeye on the bone if you have earned it.
The rest of the menu covers pork ribs, New Zealand lamb and fish, with vegetarian and gluten-free options. Inside is rustic with a fire going through winter; the outside tables catch the sun over the green in summer, with local pinot noir by the glass and cold beer on tap.
Open from 9am until late, seven days, so it stretches from breakfast through to a late dinner.
