Frankton Pizzeria does what the name promises: pizza, on Frankton Road, seven days a week from 11am until 11pm.
The room is fitted out like an American diner — booths, warm light — with a terrace outside that looks across to the peaks when the weather plays along. It is low-key and usually busy, and does takeaway and delivery as well as walk-ins.
The pizza list runs from the familiar (American hot, Hawaiian) to the less so: an all-day breakfast pizza, butter chicken, lamb seekh kebab, plus gourmet and vegan options. The pasta is made fresh on site and comes in its classic forms — stuffed, vegan, bolognese, or a plain tomato sauce.
