@ Thai is three floors up on Church Street, in the middle of town near the lakefront. There is an indoor dining room and balcony seating outside.
The cooking is traditional Thai — curries, wok dishes and noodles. Pad thai and the sizzling ginger blue cod are the two to order. Start with chicken satay skewers, coconut prawns or pork ribs, or go straight to a tom yum, which comes vegetarian, gluten-free, or with chicken or prawns.
Seafood is the strength. The curried blue cod fillet and the hor mok — blue cod, prawn and squid — are both worth the stairs. Much of the salad, rice, noodle and tapas menu can be made vegetarian or gluten-free.
Open from 4pm, closed Tuesdays, which makes it a reliable late option after a day on the hill. Delivery through Uber Eats and Food On Q.
