Bazaar is the marketplace restaurant at QT Queenstown, on Lake Esplanade with Lake Wakatipu just across the road. The kitchen is the point: an open run of stations the hotel calls an alpine amphitheatre, where chefs work skillets of shakshuka, stack pastries and griddle rosemary-salted rostis, and you wander with a plate rather than order from a menu.
Breakfast runs daily from 6.30am to 10am at $55 a head — children under five eat free, and five to twelve year olds are $27.50. The windows run floor to ceiling, so aim for the lake side of the room.
Private dining is available, and bookings go through the restaurant's online system.
