High-quality clothing brand Rodd & Gunn has opened a boutique bar with some of the most beautiful views in the world. Looking out over Lake Wakatipu towards Cecil and Walter Peaks, The Lodge Bar offers a taste of the very best in New Zealand wine and food.
Master Sommelier Cameron Douglas curated the wine list exclusively for the bar and Chef Matt Lambert, from Michelin starred restaurant The Musket Room, designed the bar menu.
Chef Lambert’s exceptional dishes showcase New Zealand’s finest and freshest produce, prepared using modern and traditional techniques and bringing unique flavours to the fore.
From roasted tua tua (clam) and bacon, to portobello mushroom mousse with whiskey jelly, there are plenty of bite-size dishes to delight the most discerning of palates. Enjoy a larger meal from their sharing plates, like the meat locker aged rib eye with salad and eggplant, or the Rodd & Gunn Diver platter of poached prawn, raw oyster, raw Foxton diamond clam and paua.
