The Stables was established originally as a hay store and barn in 1873. Since converting into a popular Arrowtown restaurant, The Stables has utilised these areas as their two dining rooms. The upstairs area is perfect for an intimate meal in front of the fireplace or for large groups, whilst the downstairs area hosts an original pot belly fire and plenty of memorabilia of times gone by, perfect for groups of two to four.
There is a large outdoor courtyard dining area, great for people watching and alfresco dining in Summer, or become captivated by the snow capped peaks in Winter time.
In keeping with its heritage, The Stables chefs create classic comfort dishes with a twist. Sourcing as much local produce as possible teamed with some of Central Otago's finest wines. Their knowledgeable and friendly staff will ensure a dining experience which will not be surpassed.
